Areas of Practice

Study Permit

If studying abroad is your plan, Canada should be at the top of your list. It offers some of the world’s best study programs and is home to some of the world’s leading research facilities and academic institutions.

Once you obtain admission to a Canadian school, you may be eligible for a study permit. The study permit allows students to work part-time on campus and seek a renewal from within Canada should they decide to stay longer.

Who can apply, how to send your application, processing times and what to expect when you get to Canada.

Visitor Visa

Individuals visiting Canada on a temporary purpose must apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to enter into Canada. Exception applies to visitors from a visa-exempt country.

Citizens of visa-exempt countries are required to obtain an electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before their departure to Canada.

Visitors to Canada may visit for up to six months when they first enter Canada. Visitors who wish to stay longer must apply for an extension, and pay a new fee.

Super Visa

The Super Visa allows parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens and permanent residents to visit Canada for a period of up to two years without having to renew their status.

The application process is similar for a regular TRV. However, additional document is required to prove that the parents and grandparents will be well supported throughout their stay in Canada.

The key difference is that the Super Visa allows an individual to stay for up to two years at a time in Canada, while a 10-year multiple entry visa would only have a status period for each entry of six months only

These immigrants must have the skills, education, and work experience to contribute to the economy of that province or territory and must want to live there. Each province and territory has their own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and criteria for their PNP.

Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot is a fast-track immigration program that allows employers in Canada's four Atlantic provinces — Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island — to hire foreign nationals who are seeking permanent residence in one of these four provinces, for jobs they haven’t been able to fill locally. The pilot is also open to foreign graduates who have completed their studies in one of these four provinces.
